Our Story

We’re Megan (yes I go by my middle name) and Dusty—high school sweethearts married for 22 years, parents to three amazing kids, and life-long North Alabama locals.

Although we currently call Huntsville home, our roots run deep in the countryside near Phil Campbell. Building The Bend was a full-circle project born out of a desire to create a peaceful sanctuary right where our story began.

Behind The Cabin

The Bend was brought to life through a lot of grit, prayer, late-night design decisions, and hands-on hard work.

Together, we poured our hearts into crafting an authentic A-frame getaway that combines modern comfort with the untouched beauty of lake life.

Our Host Philosophy

We believe the best vacations are the ones where time slows down. Whether you’re sipping morning coffee on the deck, exploring the water, or sitting around the fire pit under the stars, our goal is to give you a clean, peaceful, and beautifully designed space to rest and reconnect with nature.
